Who (our
Vision):PIOC is an Orleans based,
volunteer run outdoors club for persons interested in participating in
four seasons outdoor activities including but not limited to :
canoeing, kayaking, small sail sports, cross country skiing, hiking,
cycling. Activities will be of a self-propelled or naturally propelled
nature and conducted in a manner respecting the natural environment of
Petrie Island.
Why (Our Mission):Our goal is to
offer
interested persons the opportunity to experience and enjoy outdoor
activities in the natural environment of Petrie Island and the Ottawa
River. Activities will be organized in manner to be safe, build
comradery and encourage participation in activities. Whether you are
just learning about the sport or are an athlete looking for a new
challenge, our club will accommodate you.
What (we do): Activities for land
(hiking, skiing, snow shoeing,
birding) and water (canoeing, kayaking, sailing).
Where (we are located): PIOC
enjoys a great
beach location on the Ottawa River within a major Canadian City. We're
located on Petrie Island in the eastern suburbs of Ottawa, Ontario.
